United European Ballet Company Evanston Theatre reviews
Good Show
The acting and singing were impeccable, and the children were outstanding. The seating was very crowded; we were in the front row of the Mezzanine, and my knees were touching the short wall in front of me. That uncomfortable seating made the show a little less enjoyable, but the overall show was great. The set was amazing. I did not like the "dancing statues" because it looked like the actors/actresses were naked, and I also didn't like the "witchiness" of the "bad" nanny. It took away from the innocence of United European Ballet Company. Lastly, they didn't include the song "stay awake," which is my favorite of the movie. But other than those elements, the overall show was great.
